DUAL ENROLLMENT

Complete your first year of college with us while still in high school—and save!

The College at Mid-America offers a Dual Enrollment program that gives options to high school students to earn college credit—at a significant savings! The cost is only $300 per course. That’s less than one third of the cost of our typical undergraduate course. Mid-America’s Dual Enrollment program helps high school students earn a college degree in less time and for less money!

Through the Dual Enrollment program, a high school student may earn up to 30 hours of credit toward a bachelor degree. To earn the full 30 hours of credit, high school students must take five classes during their junior year and five classes during their senior year.

Students must meet the following requirements to participate:

  • High School Junior or Senior with at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 Scale (B Average)
  • A recommendation from the applicant’s principal, guidance counselor, or teacher

Dual Enrollment students may choose from any classes offered by The College at Mid-America (except Pastoral Ministries and Preaching), including courses such as:

  • Introduction to Computing
  • Introduction to Research and Writing
  • World History 1 and 2
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Music Appreciation
  • Introduction to Literature
  • Introduction to Biology
  • Spanish 1 and 2

To view a complete list of the courses offered through The College at Mid-America, see our current online and residential course schedules or browse our complete Academic Catalog.

Classes are available in two different formats:

  • Residential Format (in classrooms during the fall and spring semesters)
  • Online Format (during the fall and spring semesters)

Tuition for courses in Mid-America’s Dual Enrollment program is only $300 per course (not per credit hour, but per course!). In addition, there is no campus fee charge for these students.

To begin in the Dual Enrollment program, a student should contact the Admissions office at The College at Mid-America, 901-751-3060 or [email protected]. Students in the Dual Enrollment program will register through the same process as bachelor-level students.
