SCHOLARSHIP AND LEADERSHIP MEET VISION.

Like the college itself, the leadership at The College at Mid-America is seminary-quality with all the hallmarks of excellence you expect from the Mid-America name. Dr. Brad Thompson is Mid-America through and through. Serving on the faculty and in leadership at Mid-America Seminary for 20 years, Dr. Thompson is Executive Vice President and Chairman and Professor, Department of Christian Education. He now serves as the Dean of The College at Mid-America. His credentials uniquely equip him for the leadership post: Two doctorates, a PhD from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2001) and an EDD from the Ivy League’s Columbia University in New York City (2014). He also holds two other degrees: a BA in Biblical Studies from Criswell College (1984) and an MDIV from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (1988). Called into Gospel ministry at age 17, Dr. Thompson has also served as an executive pastor in three churches. He and his wife Susan have four adult children.

LEADERS CULTIVATING LEADERS

“We are interested in students being and doing. Higher education in America has become predominantly secularized, even within Christian colleges and universities. We want to train our students for vocation, but more importantly as believers in a risen Lord, our goal is for them to take their place as effective Christian leaders in their chosen professions who serve with integrity, intelligence, and compassion.”
